The person arranging a cue has a candidate method in mind and can mistake its uptake for success. Retain cases where the appropriate outcome is to dismiss the method or continue with a simpler answer.
Institutional authority and repeated prompting can make an optional suggestion feel compulsory. State optionality where it affects the recipient’s choice. A method supplier’s wish for adoption does not establish value for the work.
