CB.12:10 - Rationale
Repeating an action requires more than recalling its beginning. Material, time, access, other people’s contributions and the returned value can differ from one occasion to the next. Separating these conditions gives the organiser a useful repair even when the psychological mechanism is not established.
The person also retains a reason to choose whether the action should continue. An arrangement that is easy to repeat can outlast the need it once served. Inspecting value and burden alongside repetition prevents continuation from becoming its own objective.
