CB.15:4.7 - Choose a proportionate continuation
Compare the received value and burden with the reason for the exchange. The possible result is to stop after the useful episode, repeat a narrow action, revise the arrangement or establish a larger project. Make the choice with the participants and the owners of the additional commitments.
Use a joint project when sustained interdependent work is now worthwhile. Obtain its result, resource provision, assignments, intermediate returns and receiving decision. Use CB.13 for a common decision arrangement and OCE.11 when participants must protect continuing work while contributing.
Preserve each group’s useful independence. A recurring referral, reciprocal visit or shared resource can connect practices without merging their membership or governance. If a common body is needed, name the decisions it must make and construct that mandate explicitly.
Reopen the connection when terms or practices change, a relied-on contact or resource disappears, one side bears an unaccepted burden, or the result no longer reaches its intended users.
