CB.8:6 - Bias-Annotation
Public posts and articulate complaints are easier to inspect than private exclusion or the experience of someone who has already left. Moderators can also identify with familiar contributors or mistake an unfamiliar communication style for misconduct. Recover context and affected participation, make alternative reporting possible and separate consequential conduct from agreement with the organiser. The amount of public approval is evidence about expressed reactions, not a complete measure of fair or effective handling.
