CB.9:2 - Problem
Community work consumes resources even when participants do not pay. Invitation, preparation, moderation, responding to difficult cases, maintaining material and handing over to a successor can remain hidden behind a successful meeting. Organisers may conceal that deficit by donating more time until an absence exposes it.
Support also has conditions. A sponsor may expect recruitment while participants expect confidential help. A platform provider can control access to material that the group depends on. Several beneficiaries can each assume another party is paying. Increasing income alone leaves these conflicting promises unresolved.
How can the organiser provide the useful work, agree who bears its burdens and benefits, and revise the promise before a shortfall becomes an involuntary obligation?
