CB.Preface:7 - What this publication preserves and where to return
This publication selects sixteen recurring community and cultural work problems and develops methods for answering them. The complete bodies preserve their recognition conditions, construction, alternatives, worked cases, costs and return conditions. The ToC compresses each to a search row; the Readme compresses selected uses to entry guidance; the Preface explains connections. None of these compressed forms replaces the body needed to perform or adapt a method.
The source basis combines practitioner community-building accounts, the communities-of-practice repertoire, conceptual distinctions about culture and communities, bounded research contributions, and current FPF and domain-method suppliers. The source-use account states what was adopted, adapted or bounded and which changes would reopen it. Each body’s SoTA-Echoing section gives the closer comparison and source return.
The framework deliberately leaves the full history and vocabulary of each source, platform-specific implementation, the complete professional methods used by a community, and the full learning, research or commercial product outside this edition. It also coarsens variation across local cultures and institutions. Return to the original source for a claim about its evidence or broader theory; to the domain supplier for work requiring its full method; and to the people and conditions of use before applying a general example as a local arrangement.
Unresolved use, repeated misunderstanding, changed provision or new source evidence should reopen the smallest affected method or relation. Inspect a proposed repair through the actual work and recipient result, including a contrasting condition that could defeat it. Wider causal or general effectiveness claims require further inquiry. The renewal route keeps that work distinct from changing a link, publishing an edition or continuing the activity itself.
