GOALS.6:4.1 - Relate the person’s aim to the actual undertaking
Ask what the person wants to obtain or protect through the work and what the assignment requires. Use their account; avoid inferring private purposes from a score. Distinguish voluntary adoption, an effective work obligation and a negotiated development opportunity. LDR.1:4.4.1 supplies the role conversation when that connection is unclear.
Work through a real next episode. What action is required, what discretion and help are available, what others rely on, and what other work competes? If the person legitimately declines a voluntary contribution, choose another contribution or revise the undertaking. If an obligation governs the work, use its actual decision and challenge route. Labelling an assignment “your aspiration” does not settle its participation conditions.
