REVISION — A goal no longer fits the work

  • Situation: The need, available means or expected outcome has changed during pursuit.
  • Question: Should we continue, change the method, renegotiate, pause or end the goal?
  • First useful result or blocker: A decision identifying the affected premise, the continuation that remains useful, and any commitment requiring its owner’s decision.
  • Start with: GOALS.4.
  • Stop or return: Preserve unaffected work. Return a resource conflict to GOALS.3 and a disputed purpose to the participants who can settle it.
