HCD.23:1 - Problem Frame
An instructor asks pairs to compare answers. One confident participant states the answer and the other agrees. The second answer sheet is now correct, but the reasoning operation may still be absent. Conversely, two incorrect starting answers can contain grounds that help participants identify a neglected condition, provided the criterion and needed support are accessible.
Conversation needs a learning construction. Participants require something consequential to explain, a way to question a step, a standard beyond agreement and an opportunity to use the result. The construction must fit their preparation: independent answers can expose existing reasoning, while a modelled example may be the necessary starting point for a novice.
