HCD.23:4.5 - Return to a personal action and interpret it
Give each learner an opportunity to use the relevant connection. Change a decisive condition when adaptation is the question; repeat the operation with feedback when the immediate purpose is correction. State permitted help, keep the first response and distinguish it from a corrected response. HCD.9 supplies feedback and another attempt. Use HCD.11–13 only for the stronger claims they govern.
A learner who can explain the original answer after discussion may have gained a useful account. A learner who changes the action appropriately in an unfamiliar case supplies different evidence. Neither finding automatically establishes long-term retention or a general causal benefit of discussion. Stop when the current learning or arrangement decision has enough evidence; retain an unresolved contribution for further practice.
