HCD.24:0 - Use This When
Use this pattern when people need to learn how to judge work, explain a consequential judgement, use feedback or revise their own work. A peer-review assignment can produce many comments while leaving both the reviewer’s reasoning and the author’s next action undeveloped.
The governed object is a peer-review learning exchange. It connects the reviewer’s evaluative action with the author’s reasoned response and revision. Broader peer review also serves publication, certification and production quality; those purposes retain their subject criteria and authority. Here the first useful result is an inspectable judgement and its use or warranted rejection, with each learner’s contribution distinguishable.
Begin with permitted work that participants can understand, a criterion and available help for consequential uncertainty. If only a qualified decision on a work product is required, obtain that review directly. If the present purpose is a learner’s evaluative judgement, an AI-generated comment cannot perform that human action for them.
