HCE.Reference:8 - What grounds the subject and the name?

The two constituent frameworks carry their full explanations, cases and source comparisons. HCD’s source account (HCD.Sources:1) distinguishes human-learning evidence, specialist criteria and the broader programme construction. SOM’s rationale (SOM.Reference:6) explains the relation between bodily modeling and learning, its comparison with direct instruction, and the limits of its teaching claims. Their sources can support particular mechanisms without establishing every proposed combination’s effectiveness.

Related fields help locate this assembly. IEEE ICICLE’s Learning Engineering account connects learning sciences, human-centered engineering design and data-informed decisions to support learners. This informs the learning branch; the bodily content and its conditions still need their own explanation. ISMETA’s professional account describes somatic movement education and its professional boundaries. It distinguishes that practice from clinical diagnosis and treatment.

The name Human Capability Engineering identifies the bounded synthesis explained here. Human denotes the person whose capability is to change, Capability limits the intended subject, and Engineering names the connection between knowledge, deliberate construction and qualified use. The title does not claim that all these Methods belong to one established profession.

Two nearby names would suggest a different principal subject. Human factors and ergonomics concerns interactions between humans and other elements of a system and the design of those interactions. Human Development in the lifespan sense studies broader biological, psychological, social and cultural change. Those bodies of knowledge can supply relevant constraints, but neither name identifies the deliberate capability construction and present coverage of this Suite as clearly.

Reconsider a relied-on mechanism when better evidence changes its conditions or effect; reconsider the assembly when a changed contribution alters the connections explained above. The complete Methods remain the source for performing and adapting the work. Using FPF (Using FPF and its DPF Suites) supplies connected-reading guidance, and the FPF Library Architectural Reference places this Suite among the Library’s other languages.
