HRM.Reference:5.2 - Good output coexists with an unacceptable load
In another branch, report quality remains high but work repeatedly extends beyond the supported hours. HRM.1 obtains qualified occupational-health and safety grounds using the actual work and workers’ knowledge. Suppose those grounds require a change in the exposure or conditions. OPS revises service windows or commitments; OCE compares coverage alternatives; HRM connects these to hours, reward and participation. The constraint remains meaningful even if more overtime would raise revenue.
One employee then reports profound exhaustion: “I have no strength; I can only lie down.” HRM.5 facilitates the applicable medical route and immediate support, rather than interpreting this as refusal of responsibility. The receiving clinical result may require absence or work limits. HRM obtains only the information needed for work, arranges leave or changed conditions under the proper authority, and checks that assignments and messages actually respect them. The case does not assume a diagnosis or prescribe a recovery duration.
For a subsequent return, suppose the qualified advice permits a limited schedule with a review point. The work owner must supply tasks and coverage that fit it; returning attendance alone is insufficient. If the advice later changes, reconsider those conditions and terms. Preserve the good reports, valid obligations and population-level prevention result unless their own premises change. Conversely, a changed shift pattern can reopen prevention while the person’s functional restriction stays the same.
