LDR.Use:6 - Continuation after success is another substantive question

Suppose the first month’s cases succeed under their stated conditions. The communities have evidence of a bounded service, not proof of a culture of continuing development. They also notice a weak signal: practitioners can correct known evidence gaps but rarely question whether their chosen problem is still worthwhile.

A participant raises that concern through LDR.1; B.5.SD can help formulate and examine it with the relevant development practitioners. The next development question is whether and how to build problem-discovery and problem-formulation capability, not simply how to schedule more clinics. The development method supplies the problem, attainable challenge and transition; strategy and portfolio methods reconcile its value and resources with other work.

Leadership then helps obtain the contributions for whichever next move is warranted. The useful first service continues if worth its cost. It can also be narrowed or discontinued. Keeping an offer alive and continuing the subject’s development are related decisions with different results.
