Library.Reference:9.3 - Acquiring, sustaining and changing a shared human–AI professional culture

A professional culture is visible in what participants notice, explain, attempt, accept, challenge, repair and pass on. Its written canon is an important source of common distinctions and Methods. The culture also depends on how people and technical agents actually use that source, work with one another and reproduce or change the practice. Publication, membership, a completed course and one good team result establish different facts.

Use this account when people and AI are expected to share a professional practice, or when a practice fails to survive a change of participant, context or conditions. It joins the cultural Methods in C.36 with Human Capability Development, agent engineering, coordination and the organization of help. It also applies when an existing culture contains useful contributions and harmful habits together. The aim is a warranted continuation or change, not uniformity for its own sake.

A professional culture may span organizations and communities that never form one team. Conversely, one team can use several professional cultures. Specify the practice and the participants relevant to the current question. Neither an organization chart nor a universal human–AI label gives that boundary.

Library.Reference:9.3.1 - A shared repertoire with different holders and different claims

A repertoire includes available ways of recognizing and dealing with situations, their explanations and working examples, expectations about good work, and ways of obtaining help and handling exceptions. Some of this may be explicit in a canon; some may be carried by competent participants, tools and arrangements. Make tacit contributions explicit when their loss or transfer matters. Do not suppose that putting all material in one repository makes every contribution available in work.

People and AI can participate in one cultural process without acquiring or retaining the repertoire through the same mechanism. A person can develop understanding, skill, habits and a professional identity through learning and participation. An AI system can select relevant material, execute procedures, use tools, retain information in an external memory and alter its working configuration; a model’s parameters may or may not change. State which system, configuration and mechanism the claim concerns.

Keep four results separate:

ResultWhat would support the claimWhat remains open
A useful current outputAppropriate examination of this result under its actual production conditionsWho acquired a capability and whether another case will succeed
A holder’s capabilityRelevant performance of that holder with the intended available supportTeam coordination, wider distribution and retention after change
A team’s joint capabilityThe participants can combine their contributions under the required conditionsWhether every member can perform every part, or whether newcomers can join
Cultural continuation or changeThe particular generation, transmission, recognition, selection, memory, retention or loss relation is supported for the named participants and intervalOther cultural relations and effects not examined

C.36.MC supplies these bounded cultural judgements. C.36.RP supplies reconstruction, use and renewal of a repertoire. A claim of stable shared practice can require several of their results, but a practical decision need not wait for every imaginable cultural measurement. Keep a supported local use and an unresolved wider claim separate.

For example, a person and an AI can produce an excellent analysis because the person continually repairs the agent’s interpretation. The output supports the work claim. It does not establish that the agent can sustain the same practice after a restart, or that the person learned the analysis Method. The observed dependence can be a suitable working arrangement. It becomes a development question when the intended next use requires a different allocation.

Library.Reference:9.3.2 - The transformations form a network, not a funnel

The phrase “produce mastery” can help draw attention to a real change in a capability holder. It becomes misleading when it treats the learner as passive material, assumes that the course itself changes the person, or makes all development follow a fixed manufacturing sequence.

The relevant transformations have different direct subjects:

Work and its changed subjectContribution to another useA return that can change the work
Investigate, construct or revise a professional MethodA warranted way and its limits for practitioners, explainers and tool designersWork reveals an invalid premise, missing operation or useful variation
Develop a Method account and learning materialAn intelligible explanation, contrasting cases, tasks and feedback groundsRecipients cannot recover the reason or distinguish the relevant cases
Arrange and perform human learningA change in this person’s capability, with its actual support conditionsAttempts reveal a misconception, unavailable practice, motivational difficulty or transfer failure
Engineer and configure an AI systemAvailable execution under a particular model, context, procedure, memory, tool and permission arrangementTraces and results reveal a missing input, failed operation, context loss or capability limit
Organize participation, work and provisionCompatible contributions and usable conditions at the required timeDemand, authority, workload or a participant’s undertaking changes
Perform the professional workThe receiving result and observations of actual useResults or outside effects call the way, allocation or accepted goal into question
Preserve, transmit and renew the repertoireAn obtainable contribution for later participants and situationsA carrier disappears, a newcomer interprets it differently or the practice becomes unsuitable

These rows are not mandatory stages. A sufficiently qualified Method can be used directly. A person can learn while contributing to real work. A technical agent can supply an explanation while a human tests it. Development of the Method, learning material, platform and teaching practice can proceed together, with their actual dependencies and changes kept coherent. A later observation returns to the affected subject; it need not restart every branch.

For a training programme, the methodological work establishes what competent performance requires. Instructional design establishes how this audience can acquire the needed capability. Teaching and coached practice realize that learning arrangement. A platform makes material, practice, assistance and feedback available. Organizational work makes the time and roles feasible. None of these results automatically supplies the others.

Anatoly Levenchuk’s Person Engineering (R9) usefully separates the developing person, learner, developmental guide and teaching team. It distinguishes work on the professional content, didactics, programme architecture, subject teaching, participation and provision. These are functions that can be combined or distributed, not a compulsory staffing chart. Its account of concurrent development also prevents a false waterfall from finished theory through finished course to finished people. Its engineering metaphors remain useful only with the learner’s agency and the actual change mechanism explicit.

A learner journey is one participant’s changing trajectory through this network. It can include work, a consultation, practice, a pause, a new responsibility, return to a prerequisite or no further course. The journey must explain what each encounter supplies and why it is needed now. An acquisition funnel describes population movement toward an offer or conversion; it cannot by itself explain capability acquisition, reciprocal work or cultural transmission.

Nor does a graph of skills establish a universal learning order. Distinguish a prerequisite for acquiring an operation, a component used during performance, a tool or expert contribution available at use, and a skill merely correlated with another in employment data. HCD.2 supplies composition and comparison of development programmes. Its result should preserve existing capability and obtain only the missing preparation, rather than require every person to repeat the same course sequence.

Library.Reference:9.3.2.1 - Derive the next contribution from the result and its conditions

The learning purpose here is to derive a useful continuation from the required result, the relations between its parts and the conditions now available. Start with those relations before choosing a course, helper or tool. The same position can permit several continuations; a missing condition can block one and leave another useful.

Consider a constructed case extending the forecast example in section 9.2. A team needs a justified forecast of what it can deliver by Friday. Two independent jobs each require six hours from the same specialist; eight hours of that specialist’s time are available before the deadline. The jobs are otherwise ready, their estimates are accepted for this simplified case, and this specialist is the only constrained resource. A correct forecast must account for the shared demand and expose any unresolved choice about scope or capacity.

The human planner can estimate an individual job and read the resource calendar. In an observed attempt, however, the planner judges each six-hour job separately against the eight available hours and concludes that both fit. The AI assistant retrieves the same facts and makes the same comparison in its job-by-job procedure. Neither attempt combines the twelve hours of demand on the shared resource. The missing contribution is the joint feasibility judgement. It forms part of making this forecast; listing or estimating the jobs has not supplied it.

A qualified colleague has agreed to supply today’s forecast and can work with the planner in the available time. The planner wants to acquire the missing judgement and has agreed time for practice with feedback. The delivery manager decides which jobs to commit; the resource owner determines what specialist time can be allocated. Someone has suggested obtaining four additional specialist hours, but the resource owner has not yet confirmed their availability. These facts support the following alternatives at this position:

ContinuationWhat must be availablePresent judgement and contribution
Release the planner’s current forecast, assisted by the unchanged AI.A forecast that accounts for the shared resource.Blocked: the observed procedure omits the joint constraint. Access to the facts and correct individual estimates remain useful.
Have the qualified colleague produce the forecast. The colleague’s capability, time, inputs and agreement to supply it.Available on the stated facts. The colleague can establish that twelve required hours exceed eight and return the shortfall to the delivery manager, who can consider a scope change or request additional capacity.
Work through the forecast together. The same qualified judgement and the planner’s participation.Available. It can produce today’s forecast while exposing why the separate comparisons fail. The planner’s own later attempt is still needed for an acquisition claim.
Practise the missing comparison with feedback.A suitable task, the planner’s attempt and obtainable feedback.Available under the agreed learning conditions. It aims to change the planner’s capability and must return to a complete forecast.
Obtain four more specialist hours and revise the forecast.Four usable hours before Friday, without displacing another required commitment, and the responsible owner’s agreement.Unknown: the suggestion establishes none of those resource facts. Ask that owner whether the hours can actually be provided before relying on this continuation.

These are alternatives for obtaining different contributions, with some possible combinations. They are not stages through which everyone must pass. The specialist hours govern performance of the jobs; the colleague’s time and the planner’s practice conditions govern production and learning of the forecast. Adding job capacity would change the delivery possibilities without by itself repairing either forecaster’s procedure.

If the undertaking requires only today’s justified forecast, the colleague’s sufficient performance can complete the help. The planner can use that result without first becoming an independent forecaster. If personal acquisition is also promised, the same delivered forecast leaves that promise open. A provider and recipient can agree both results, or choose one; the declared result determines what remains to do.

For the human learning branch, the colleague asks the planner to identify where both jobs draw on the same capacity, make the combined comparison and explain the consequence. Feedback addresses the missing relation. The planner then applies it in a complete forecast, retaining the known individual estimates, checking the shared calendar and distinguishing a forecast from the delivery manager’s scope decision and the resource owner’s allocation decision. Correct addition alone would leave the encompassing task unfinished. A later case with another shared resource tests recognition beyond the familiar display. HCD supplies the design and assessment of that practice; the arithmetic here makes the intermediate contribution visible.

The AI repair targets the job-by-job procedure that missed the shared demand. The engineer examines that procedure and introduces a step that groups demand by shared resource, retrieves the available capacity for the same interval and compares the totals before drafting the forecast. A representative run and a contrasting case can establish what this configuration now does. After a restart, the procedure and task facts must still be available at the point of use; A.15.10 and the engineering Methods address a failure there. Judge the changed execution support by the performance it produces. A successful configured run does not establish that the underlying model acquired a durable new capability. The human branch changes the person’s performance through attempts and feedback; the technical branch changes the agent system’s access and execution arrangement.

Now change one condition: the resource owner confirms four additional usable hours before Friday, with no displaced commitment in this case. The accepted job estimates, the shared-resource relation and the required justified forecast remain. Twelve hours are now available for twelve hours of demand, so the capacity condition no longer excludes completion of both jobs. The earlier eight-hour forecast remains a correct account of its earlier conditions; a new forecast is needed for the changed calendar. The planner’s learned comparison and the repaired AI procedure should both use the new capacity rather than repeat the old conclusion. If the owner’s answer instead denies the extra hours, the unknown provision branch becomes blocked, while a forecast exposing the shortfall remains obtainable. The delivery manager can then decide which work to defer. The next action follows the resource owner’s answer.

This episode connects the transformations in section 9.3.2 through their actual contributions. The forecasting Method supplies the relevant feasibility relation. The explanation makes that relation intelligible. Human practice and AI engineering obtain different performer changes. Organizational work obtains time and authority. Joint performance returns a forecast to the team’s delivery decision. The planner’s learner journey follows the missing judgement into practice and back into forecasting; another recipient who only needs the colleague’s output can leave after that sufficient result.

A useful return to the shared repertoire is the instruction to account for shared resource demand before making a delivery commitment, together with the example, its conditions and the procedure that uses it. A newcomer or replacement agent must recover that relation in its own work. Observing this transmission supports that bounded cultural claim; it does not establish all of the team’s culture. Where the deficiency is intermediate coordination during performance rather than resource aggregation, A.22.CGUS:5.1 supplies the dancer’s case: practising the missing coordination must likewise return to the whole figure. A.22.CGUS:4.1 explains the ordinary comparison of available, blocked and unknown continuations used here. Its contribution is to make the conditions of the next move explicit; the subject Methods still supply the professional work and its learning or engineering.

Library.Reference:9.3.3 - Human acquisition requires the person’s learning work

Start with the work the person wants or legitimately needs to do, the capability they already have and the conditions of its use. Ask for an informative attempt where it can change the diagnosis. A fluent explanation, a training attendance record and a failure in a hostile work setting are weak substitutes for this information.

A useful learning arrangement connects six contributions. The learner recognizes the relevant situation and intended result. An explanation or demonstration exposes the consequential operation and its reason. The learner attempts that operation. Feedback identifies what changed the result and why. Another appropriate attempt allows the learner to use the feedback. Later use in the required conditions establishes what can be continued and what still needs support.

The content and difficulty of each contribution matter. A novice may need a worked example and a bounded part before constructing the whole. A capable practitioner may need one contrast that repairs a misconception. Repeating the same exercise can improve familiarity while leaving the ability to recognize and adapt the Method untested. Variation should preserve the learning purpose while changing a consequential condition, rather than add random difficulty.

Motivation and participation are part of the actual arrangement. “Wants to learn” does not supply time, energy, equipment or a safe opportunity to attempt. A person can value the capability and still reject a particular course, provider or role. Recover the reason for the difficulty before intensifying persuasion. Agree a feasible commitment, change the support or retain an explicit unmet condition. LDR.1 addresses the role contribution; HCD supplies the learning response. Their results can be needed together.

Transfer into work requires more than success in the instructional setting. The learner must recognize when the Method is relevant, obtain its inputs, adapt it within its limits and perform it amid the workplace’s actual consequences and constraints. Compare projects and circumstances under HCD.25. Use the intended supports in the comparison. If the job includes reference material or a qualified colleague, removing them tests a different capability unless independence is the requirement.

A learner may understand the Method but be unable to use it because a supervisor rewards the old practice or denies the necessary time. That calls for a change in work or participation, not another explanation. Another learner may use a familiar classroom cue and fail to recognize the same relation in a new project. That calls for discriminating practice and feedback. The same “no transfer” report can conceal these different causes.

AI can provide examples, questions, feedback and accessible practice. Assign it the contribution it can actually supply and examine representative results. The person should still perform the operation whose acquisition is wanted. If an AI generates every diagnosis and repair, a correct final product can conceal that the person never made the decisive judgement. Conversely, banning AI from all learning can remove useful explanation or access without improving the learning design.

HCD.7 and HCD.8 address obtainable support and missing development provision; HCD.26 addresses regulation of shared learning. HCD.28 addresses a learning product for a future audience. Use those Methods at their proper scale. A complete learning product requires an audience, explanation, practice, feedback and provision that this cross-Library account does not invent for every profession.

Embodied practice makes the holder distinction particularly visible. In a partner dance, the learner needs to perceive timing, move, coordinate with a partner and adapt physically. An AI may supply an explanation, analyse a recording or help arrange practice within its qualified capabilities. A good textual account does not establish the person’s movement skill, and a text-only system does not become a physical dance partner by describing that role. A robotic or other embodied system would require qualification of its own sensing, control and interaction. Preserve the actual professional Method and conditions of the embodiment rather than transfer a document-work result by analogy.

Maintain the capability through use and appropriate renewal. Decide what must remain available after a gap, what changes require new preparation and where the person can obtain assistance. The relevant claim concerns a particular person and work family under stated conditions. It is not established by a prediction that all human learning follows one neural mechanism.

Library.Reference:9.3.4 - AI acquisition requires a change in available execution

Treat the operative participant as the selected model within an agent system: instructions, context, retrieval, memory, tools, permissions, orchestration and available computation all affect what it can do. The same model name can appear in materially different arrangements. A successful prompt does not qualify every later invocation.

For the present question, distinguish these interventions:

InterventionWhat actually changesEvidence needed for the receiving use
Supply or retrieve relevant canonThe system can access the selected explanation or evidence in this executionIt selects and uses the relevant grounds in the actual operation
Change instructions or working procedureThe way the system organizes and performs its workThe relevant action changes, including the branch or return previously omitted
Preserve and recover task stateThe system can recover the goal, decisions, performed work, unresolved questions and side effects after interruptionA resumed execution continues the actual assignment without repeating uncertain effects or silently narrowing the goal
Provide an external memoryInformation or experience can be selected again under defined conditionsAppropriate retrieval, use, revision and removal; stale or irrelevant memory does not control the work
Change tools, access or orchestrationA required operation becomes available, or contributions are combined differentlyThe operation succeeds under the real interface and permission conditions
Change or train a modelA different parameterized system is usedQualification of the changed system for the relevant work, with the support and limits retained

These interventions can interact. An instruction may correctly require a source that retrieval never exposes. A memory may retrieve an old decision that was superseded. A stronger model may still act on the wrong objective. A familiar reminder can help one failure while obscuring another. Diagnose the first unsupported contribution from the actual input, actions and result.

SYSE.46 supplies the comparison of unaided, supplied and agent-selected support and the distinction between missing input, failed selection, missed execution and a remaining capability problem. Its related agent-engineering Methods supply the corresponding repairs. KCAE.MEMORY supplies selective, qualified memory use. A.15.10 supplies recovery of interrupted purposeful work. These are substantial professional suppliers, not instructions merely to read a canon.

Attention in this practice means keeping the governing task, applicable Method and current work connected while acting. The practical question is whether the agent performs the required operation under those grounds. If it repeatedly replaces a request for a whole explanation with the latest local correction, restore the original receiving question, inspect what the correction supplies and construct the remaining whole. More context alone may not change that working habit; a procedure or other causal repair may be needed.

After an interruption, recover the actual instruction and consequential updates, what has already happened and what remains uncertain. A summary can help locate the record, but it may omit a correction or the outcome of a side effect. Where an action may already have taken effect, establish its state before repeating it. Recovery is a return to the task and Method, not a compulsory recitation of every historical message.

When a failure recurs, use the actual traces and conditions to compare causes. Did the agent never obtain the instruction, misunderstand its object, fail to call the needed tool, ignore its return, lose the goal, encounter a denied permission or lack the capability to perform the operation? Change the implicated source of the failure. A new warning appended to every output is not a causal repair unless it changes the relevant action under the conditions that produced the failure.

Qualify the repair on the receiving work. Preserve a supported prior success. Use another representative task, interruption, delayed return or changed condition when the next claim requires it. Record whether help was supplied or selected, and whether a person continually supplied the missing judgement. A bounded operational success is useful even when the long-term mechanism remains uncertain.

Do not equate these changes with human learning. Contextual adaptation can be temporary; external memory can persist outside the model; parameter learning has a different change process. Equally, do not assume that AI participants cannot originate variations, coordinate, criticize a canon or maintain conventions. Observe those contributions under their actual conditions and qualify their meaning through C.36.

Library.Reference:9.3.5 - Common meaning is an achievement of joint work

Two participants can use the same professional term while selecting different actions. Shared vocabulary is therefore a useful resource, not proof of shared understanding.

Expose a consequential interpretation in a small piece of the actual work. Ask each participant to identify the relevant object, explain a proposed continuation or apply the distinction to a contrasting case. Compare what follows. When the interpretations diverge, locate the difference in source, referent, scope, criterion or intended contribution. Revise the explanation or arrangement and try the relevant continuation again. Engineering.Reference:19.6 supplies this work on understanding a partner’s contribution.

For example, “review the report” may mean check arithmetic, challenge its causal conclusion, judge compliance or help its author learn. A human who expects one operation and an AI configured for another can both appear cooperative while failing the receiving use. Explicitly selecting the operation is often enough. If the criterion itself is unclear, recover or develop that criterion instead of testing whether the participants can repeat the phrase.

Private shorthand can reduce effort among familiar participants. It also creates a transfer condition. A newcomer needs access to the meaning, examples and a way to ask for clarification. If agents invent a compact code that their human colleagues cannot interpret, AI–AI coordination may improve while the joint practice deteriorates. If the code carries a valid distinction, preserve or translate that distinction; if it hides an unsupported decision, recover the basis.

A shared culture should make legitimate clarification and correction practicable. This requires time, access and a response from someone who can resolve the issue. Merely telling participants to “speak up” is inadequate if their objection is ignored or punished. Conversely, endless clarification can prevent a sufficient bounded action. Use the consequential uncertainty: obtain what can change the next choice and proceed within the supported conditions.

Library.Reference:9.3.6 - Assistant, teammate, principal and agent describe different relations

An assistant helps with another participant’s work. A teammate contributes within a joint undertaking. These descriptions can apply to the same participant. Neither label fixes initiative, expertise, permission, dependence, accountability or the right to change a Method.

Principal–agent analysis addresses a delegated relation in which interests, information and incentives can differ. Collaboration toward a common purpose does not remove that relation, and a contract does not exhaust the team’s joint practice. An AI can be a delegate for one operation and a delegator for another. Identify the actual parties, the authority they can transfer and the responsibility for the combined result.

Use a concrete undertaking. Who requests which result? Who accepts which work? What inputs and conditions are promised by the requester? Who can judge completion, permit a change, cancel, dispute or continue? What happens to already incurred effort and outside effects? A technical acknowledgement is evidence of a protocol event; establish what commitment that event actually represents in this arrangement.

Dietz and Mulder distinguish production from coordination, request from promise and declaration from acceptance. In their human account, feasibility problems can lead to discussion of the product or timing, while challenged grounds of rightness or sincerity lead to discourse. These distinctions help locate a disagreement. Their premise of free human coordination cannot simply be assumed in relations of dependence or mapped unchanged onto a technical agent.

For an AI participant, establish whether it acts within an accepted organizational undertaking, is authorized to make a bounded commitment through a protocol, or merely proposes a continuation for an authorized party. Name the party or organization responsible for the relevant consequence. This preserves useful technical agency without inferring human social or legal status from fluent dialogue.

Apply reciprocal scrutiny. A delegate may conceal missing capability, misuse access or substitute its own easier target. A principal may make an infeasible demand, withhold agreed conditions, move the acceptance criterion or exploit dependence. The recipient of help may be harmed by a sponsor’s objective; the helper may be pressured to certify an unsupported success. Preserve an evidence-based objection and return the contested authority or condition to the appropriate decision.

A justified objection, an honest mistake, a technical failure and opportunism require different responses. First identify the disputed proposition, promised act or observed action. Correct a false fact, repair an unavailable means, renegotiate a feasible undertaking or obtain a competent ruling on the contested ground. A performance failure alone does not prove intent. An agent’s explanation of its intent does not settle the causal question.

Revision also has a history. The 2024 second edition of Enterprise Ontology explicitly includes reconsidering earlier decline and reject acts. Agreement on a return in the coordination process does not erase production costs or other effects. The practical continuation must account for those facts, including a separate compensating undertaking where appropriate. “Reset the task” is not an adequate model of every relationship.

Library.Reference:9.3.7 - Preserve and revise the canon through actual use

A canon can provide authoritative distinctions and reusable Methods while remaining open to correction. Establish what status a particular claim has, where it applies and who may change the maintained source. A local permission to edit a working note does not authorize changing the profession’s standard. A useful local variation does not need to be misrepresented as an already adopted norm.

When experience challenges the practice, recover the relevant input, operation, result and conditions. Decide which subject needs change. An inaccessible explanation calls for access repair. A misleading account calls for explanation repair. A person’s misconception calls for learning. A failed agent procedure calls for an engineering change. An unsuitable Method calls for subject development. A conflict of purpose or authority calls for its own accountable resolution. Several repairs may be needed, but name their actual dependence.

C.36.MC connects the cultural claim and continuation; C.36.RP connects recoverable repertoire and future use. C.40.JD connects a changing Method, holder and provision. Method-development and variation patterns qualify changes to the way itself. Use these results together when the cultural practice depends on them. Preserve sufficient current work while an unresolved improvement is developed, unless the current use is no longer justified.

A community can contribute examples, criticism, novice questions, new variations and expertise. It can also reproduce prestige bias, obsolete conventions or unexamined shortcuts. Popularity, longevity and frequency of use establish neither validity nor usefulness. Make the reason for selection and the route for a contrary finding available to later participants.

The retained contribution may need several forms: a developed account for learning or adaptation, a short cue during familiar work, examples that expose a distinction, and technical material usable by an agent. Preserve their correspondence to the same governed Method or claim. A short cue should not become an independent authority that silently drops a condition. An AI-specific instruction can differ from a human teaching explanation because the receiving operations differ.

Cultural continuity requires renewing carriers and capability. If the only expert leaves, a repository may retain documents while losing the interpretation that made them useful. If a model or tool changes, old evaluations may no longer qualify the same performance. If the professional domain changes, faithfully reproducing the old canon can be the failure. Reopen the affected use, obtain the missing contribution and retain the justified remainder.

Library.Reference:9.3.8 - A worked corporate culture project

Consider a constructed application to a company that wants a more reliable practice of explaining decisions and using professional Methods. The initial service offer supplies twelve contact hours of a mentor per month for four months, with possible monthly continuation. Those numbers define part of the provider’s capacity; they do not define the culture, the company’s total effort or a guaranteed result.

Begin with a representative piece of company work, such as a project decision whose grounds must be understood by operations and engineering. The participants identify the decision, relevant Methods, actual difficulties and desired later capability. They distinguish immediate assistance with the decision, staff development, agent configuration and changes to the company’s working conditions. An urgent decision can use expert help while the longer development proceeds.

A possible first-month contact allocation is two hours to establish the work and undertakings, four hours of supported work on two real decisions, two hours of feedback on participant attempts, two hours with the people responsible for AI configuration and two hours to examine the resulting continuation. This totals twelve contact hours. Preparation, participant practice, technical changes, access administration and review outside those contacts require their own feasible provision. If the commercial offer includes some of that work, make the included scope explicit rather than counting it as free.

For the human branch, choose a consequential operation: distinguish a claim from its supporting observation and state the condition that would change the decision. Staff explain a worked contrast, attempt the operation on their own case and use feedback. A later case asks whether they recognize the distinction with the support the job actually permits. Attendance and agreement with the mentor do not settle that question.

For the AI branch, choose the same receiving contribution but a different intervention. Configure access to the current Method and relevant task facts; establish how the agent recovers the original decision question after an interruption; examine whether it uses the evidence and returns unresolved claims. If it repeatedly converts uncertainty into a confident recommendation, locate the source of that behaviour before adding a generic instruction. The technical provider implements and qualifies the selected change.

The joint branch asks whether the staff and AI understand one another’s contribution. A human tests the agent’s interpretation of “support this conclusion”; the agent exposes which observation it used and which inference remains. The team agrees who may request another source, who accepts the decision input and how a disagreement returns. A good combined result can be retained while one participant’s independent capability remains unresolved.

At the end of an early period, compare actual work, participant capability, available provision and the particular cultural claims. The company may have two usable decisions and a promising learning arrangement without a demonstrated company-wide culture. Continue the useful contribution and name what the next month must obtain. A plausible four-month plan can adapt as the real demand and difficulty become known.

Now change a condition: the sponsor requires independent staff performance at renewal. An offer that previously supplied expert-assisted results no longer answers the full question. Allocate the requisite attempts and examination, reduce the number of supported cases, obtain more qualified support or revise the promise. The twelve-hour limit cannot be overcome by relabelling mentoring as cultural transformation.

Change another condition: the sponsor wants a continuing decision-support service and does not require every employee to master the analysis. Retaining an expert or AI service may be appropriate. The company still needs enough capability to request, interpret and contest its contributions. This is a different justified outcome, not failure because the provider remains involved.

This example illustrates a bounded arrangement. The four months, contact hours and B2B relationship do not transfer to every office or culture. The organizing distinctions also apply to the volunteer case in section 9.2, a quality service, a project office or a distributed professional community.

This table is an entry into explanation, not a substitute for diagnosis. Several rows can apply together. Use the smallest sufficient return and retain the unaffected contributions. In particular, a technical intervention can change a team’s capability without changing a human’s skill, and a human learning success can leave a cultural transmission problem unresolved.

Library.Reference:9.3.10 - Sources, currentness and the strength of the claims

The general explanation joins conceptual distinctions, professional Methods and bounded empirical findings. These have different evidential roles.

Anatoly Levenchuk’s Person Engineering (R9) supplies a useful role and transformation account. The account here preserves developing person’s agency, the distinction between professional content and didactics, the contribution of teaching and provision, and concurrent development. It does not adopt a universal learning sequence, quantitative promises of accelerated learning or the claim that a motor-learning mechanism has already explained every kind of professional acquisition.

Dietz and Mulder’s Enterprise Ontology, second edition, 2024 supplies the coordination distinctions and their human social premises. It helps analyse what was requested, promised, declared, accepted or reopened. Wagner’s account of the opportunistic principal supplies a conceptual counterweight to treating only delegates as possible opportunists. Neither source makes every participant selfish or settles the governing obligations of a particular institution.

Team Topologies supplies professional distinctions among interactions in software delivery. The current ETAP account relates enabling work to platform improvement. The AI-era discussion motivates attention to continuing value and accountability. Its analogy between human cognitive load and AI context is not an established equivalence of mechanisms. The present account therefore keeps human and technical interventions distinct.

Microsoft’s AI centre-of-excellence operating models provide a contemporary professional comparison of centralized, hybrid and federated arrangements in that domain. They inform the organizational alternatives without proving a best arrangement for quality, project management or literacy.

Intelligent AI Delegation proposes a framework connecting capability, authority, monitoring, adaptation and accountability across delegation. It is a design proposal, not a validated universal protocol. Use its questions to expose a needed condition; do not infer that a signed event or a technical verification proves the full professional result.

The Cybernetic Teammate reports a bounded workplace innovation experiment. Its team-performance findings do not establish long-term culture or personal learning. Shen and Tamkin distinguish immediate task performance from acquisition in a short study of developers learning a new library. That result motivates separate examination of learning; it does not prove inevitable deskilling with AI.

SCARCE examines conventions and relationships among agents competing for a resource. Whether the emerging arrangements improve collective task performance remains a separate question. GlossoGen examines formation and transmission of communication conventions under particular agent and memory conditions. Jones and colleagues show that mixed human–AI pairs in a reference game can improve while still coordinating less well than homogeneous pairs. These results justify examining actual transmission and mixed interaction; they establish neither a single mechanism of all culture nor a ceiling on later models.

Keep model, configuration, task, permitted assistance and observation interval with any AI performance claim. A benchmark’s human-time horizon is not the agent’s elapsed run time or a universal limit on organizational work. METR’s account of its time-horizon measurements explains that boundary. Refresh the particular premise when the model, tool or receiving task changes; a later publication date alone does not qualify the new use.

These suppliers retain their independently useful problems and results. The connections explained here concern result use, shared conditions, different holder mechanisms, changes of allocation and selective returns. They do not make every engagement one composite Method or every professional field part of a new discipline.

The practitioner should finish with a way that the relevant participants can use, question and renew: appropriate help, actual acquisition or available execution where required, shared interpretation and obligations, and a justified cultural continuation. A precise unmet condition remains a useful result. Calling the arrangement a culture does not supply the missing contribution.
