MA.1:0 - Use this when

Use this pattern when a cost report cannot explain what a proposed order, changed method or different workload would require. A quote below reported average cost, a claimed labor saving or a sudden rise in unit cost can expose this difficulty. Start by identifying the resource dependency that the existing account leaves unanswered.

The pattern governs a model relating work outputs to resource consumption and monetary amounts for a stated use. Its useful result is enough of that model to explain the relevant quantities, capacity conditions and money. The operating decision can then use OPS.14 to compare options.

If an existing model already supplies adequate quantities and conditions, use it. Rebuilding the whole cost system adds no value to a question that an adequate account can already answer.
