MDPE.14:3.5 - Compare with domain criteria and vetoes

Use A.19.CPM for explicit comparison and C.11 for local choice. Keep the Music-and-Dance criteria visible, for example:

  • performer effort, attention, injury risk, expressive control, and sustainable capability;
  • partner or ensemble information, consent, coordination, and room for variation;
  • timing, dynamics, sound, phrase, musical response, and interaction;
  • audience, judge, teacher, partner, listener, or sensor recognition;
  • participation, access, attribution, refusal, and exclusion;
  • teaching, rehearsal, event, equipment, software, and maintenance burden;
  • retained alternatives and repertoire diversity; and
  • later transmission, continuation, and reversibility.

Preserve incomparable results, veto conditions, uncertainty, and dissent. A weighted score cannot compensate for a breached safety, consent, permission, or equipment limit. A candidate that moves burden to an unpaid teacher, organizer, maintainer, partner, or source community must show that burden.
