MDPE.20:0 - Use This When

Use this pattern when a practice-developing Agent must decide what to change, preserve, test, teach, publish, or prepare for, but the same present observations support several materially different developments of a Music-or-Dance practice.

Typical situations include:

  • one popular rhythm, movement, performance format, teaching form, or platform trend is called the future;
  • a geometric prototype, statistical cluster, reconstructed lineage, prevalence estimate, or repeated transmission result is called an attractor without a dynamics model;
  • one creator, book, school, competition, festival, platform, or technical tool is credited with determining later culture;
  • a team assumes that current recognition, streaming, enrolment, or press visibility establishes future reproduction;
  • a style-switching or style-mixing observation is explained by one memory or learning model without rival explanations;
  • one local success is expected to spread through a scene despite unknown teaching, partner, venue, recognition, selection, and retention relations; or
  • an intervention is selected before anyone states what later observation would make the forecast wrong or change the decision.

The practical question is:

What serious developments fit the available basis, what differs among them, and what can the project now do, prepare, retain or stop within its supported conditions?

The gain is a usable present forecast and decision with conditions for revision. When an observation is actually obtained, the project can carry it through to a bounded update while preserving serious rivals and transfer limits.

Use current FPF and a direct field Method without MDPE.20 when they already supply the practice-specific trajectories, observations, and development decision. Use MDPE.20 when generic hypotheses and cultural relations still leave Music-or-Dance performers, materials, structures, recognition tasks, transmission mechanisms, scene conditions, and domain probes unspecified.

Do not use this pattern for:

  • one local performance-candidate disposition—use MDPE.9;
  • one lineage or source-recovery question—use MDPE.18;
  • one present continuation or loss question—use MDPE.19;
  • one chosen local change without competing future trajectories—use the applicable direct Music, Dance, teaching, event, platform, or engineering Method;
  • a geometric, rhythmic, statistical, or active-inference model whose receiving use is not cultural development—use its direct modelling Method and current FPF; or
  • a future claim for which no present decision, preparation, observation, or stop would change.
