MNT.16:4 - Solution
State the maintenance population, period and receiving question. Identify the relevant Method variant and the work or result whose continuation matters. Use ordinary terms before introducing a cultural label such as school, tradition or maturity.
Recover the cultural relations that the available basis supports. A manual can transmit a description; a mentor can demonstrate a technique; practitioners can enact it in actual work; peers or supervisors can recognize and reward it; the population can retain or abandon it. These are different claims. Use C.36 when their distinction changes the account.
Connect an enactment claim to actual practitioners, work and maintained Systems at the scope needed for that claim. A selected class of technicians or a training plan does not supply an observed occurrence. If a precise performed-Work claim is needed, FPF A.13 and A.15.1 govern the performer and occurrence; assignment-bound attribution is added only when that relation is actually consumed.
Compare plausible explanations for the current pattern of use. A variant may persist because it works under local conditions, because suitable tools are available, because reporting rewards it or because another variant cannot be enacted with the available time. Retain hypotheses at their actual support. A population-wide causal explanation may remain unresolved while a bounded current account is complete.
Select a deliberate change only when its attainable contribution warrants the whole burden. The action might change access to applicable descriptions, mentoring, recognition, provider support or the conditions that discourage reporting. Compare keeping, revising, branching and stopping the arrangement. Include effects on practitioners and operation, not just attendance or publication counts.
Keep proposal, performed intervention, changed practice and measured maintenance effect separate. If an intervention is performed, judge it by the relevant actual-use and maintenance consequences. Training completion can establish a training result; it does not by itself establish adoption, reliability improvement or safer work.
Return the supported continuation and its population, period and uncertainty. A new survey or experiment is selected only for a worthwhile attainable answer. When the existing evidence already supports retaining a practice or fixing a known access problem, return that answer without requiring a full cultural study.
