MNT.6:2 - Problem
Diagnosis can become either premature certainty or an endless search. A plausible cause triggers the first familiar repair; alternatively, advice is withheld until every possible root cause is eliminated. Both lose the practical question: which remaining uncertainty changes what should be done now?
A technically effective repair can also be worse than another response when access, support, service loss or intervention-induced faults are considered.
