OCE.17:4.5 - Perform the intervention and look beyond the event
Obtain the commitments, lawful evidence use, work opportunity, support and qualified contributions that the selected response requires. Separate what was agreed from what was done. Record the actual case discussion, changed example, recognition decision or support contribution at the detail needed for later interpretation.
At a later suitable opportunity, inspect whether the practitioner used the relevant OCE distinctions and produced a result another participant could use. Choose a case without the original initiator, or with a changed condition, when that contrast matters to the intended continuation claim. Do not require every case to be unassisted: assistance may be a legitimate part of the practice, but its contribution must remain visible.
An event attendance record supports attendance. A later case can support a bounded enactment claim. Learning, transfer, lasting retention and the causal contribution of the intervention each need their own qualified evidence. If there was no permitted opportunity, the next result is an opportunity gap, not evidence that teaching failed.
Check the cost of the response as well as its apparent success. Did additional case work displace service, expose protected information, discourage dissent or shift the burden to an unsupported practitioner? Stop or narrow the dependent intervention when those conditions fail.
