PSD.17:11 - SoTA-Echoing

The working question is how to continue useful decision-support judgement across practitioners and engagements without confusing visibility, prescribed practice, local performance and cultural consequence. The selected line combines a bounded enacted-practice account, attention to receiving interpretation, comparison of actual continuation arrangements and evidence at the grain of the claim. It accepts the cost of observing practice; dissemination alone remains appropriate when availability is the only result needed.

What can application reviews establish about a current culture? Adapt their reported cases as leads while retaining the corpus boundary.A publication-based diffusion account is cheap to construct but misses unpublished practice and does not distinguish availability, enactment or retention. Sections 4.1–4.2 and 5.3 keep those claims separate.Kogetsidis (2025) and Kogetsidis (2026 online) are dated application-review comparators, not required inputs to every case. The latter examines selected journals over 2010–2024, not a census or cultural-effectiveness trial. Reopen when better evidence changes the named population, relation or continuation decision.
What should a receiving arrangement preserve? Adapt a practice-facing account of context, trust, stakeholder engagement, facilitation and reflective professional learning.A portable recipe or final-output template is useful when its meaning is already shared; alone it can hide practical judgement and ethical consequences. Sections 4.3–4.6 and 5.1 expose those receiving conditions.Yearworth’s The Practice of Problem Structuring and Evaluation, published in 2024, present this practice-facing and evaluation line in their chapter summaries. They do not establish the effectiveness of the exercise proposed here. Reopen if a stronger practice account or receiving observation defeats the assumed mechanism or burden.
Does new AI-assisted problem structuring establish a transferable culture? Retain as a candidate comparison, separating generated material, human validation and later use.A large shared output can widen the material considered, but treating that output as shared understanding or enactment loses the receiving problem. Sections 4.2, 4.5 and 5.2 require the exact receiving consequence.Voltan and Kells (2026), GOSR, is a contemporary conceptual proposal for facilitation with GenAI-assisted sensemaking. Its limitations include absent participant feedback and further practical testing; it is not evidence of widespread adoption or a universal PSD Method. Reopen on qualified receiving-use evidence, a changed tool/source condition or a defeated interpretation premise.
How might digital mediation change continuation? Adapt separate hypotheses about social learning and the mediating arrangement.Treating a library or recommender as a neutral pipe ignores which variants become visible; importing a model’s optimum into a professional service overstates transfer. Sections 4.2, 4.6 and 5.2 keep mechanism hypotheses and observations distinct.Czaplicka, Baumann and Rahwan (2025) studies a simplified cultural-accumulation model combining network-based learning and algorithmic mediation. It supplies possible mechanisms for investigation, not a PSD field result or a prescribed mixing ratio. Reopen when an empirical or model result changes the specific mediation hypothesis under its stated conditions.
