PSD.2:11 - SoTA-Echoing

Practice questionBest-known lineSerious alternative or defaultDefect overcome and pattern mutationSource roles and limitsReopen condition
How should participation be recovered in an ill-structured decision-support situation? The continuing PSM branch, including facilitated modeling and multi-method arrangements documented for ill-structured situations.A sponsor-built stakeholder list or open workshop is the serious default; universal recruitment is the opposite default.A sponsor’s list can hide consequential absence, while universal recruitment supplies no usable stop. Adapt: PSD.2:4.1–4.5 returns a use-bounded participation and concern account whose omissions and dissent remain visible.Smith and Shaw’s 2019 PSM review and Kogetsidis’s 2025 review support the continuing branch, differing Methods, and documented facilitated or multi-method use. They do not establish representativeness, universal facilitation sufficiency, or comparative superiority. PSD’s architecture assigns participation and concern recovery to this pattern; attribution, representation limits, and missing-participant stops are constraints on that account. Current A.1.CSD separately supplies consequence-bearer discovery. The resulting combined PSD rule is an adaptation, not an externally demonstrated best participation protocol.Reopen if newer comparative evidence changes the conditions under which facilitated participation is adequate, the direct FPF contribution changes, or a material bearer or participation condition is discovered.
How should affected Systems enter without turning participation into proof?Use current A.1.CSD to recover actual Systems or intended referents, direct relations or modal paths, possible changed characteristics, evidence, uncertainty, and receiver connection; then use PSD.2 only for the participation-specific account.Attendance, complaint volume, or generic impact language is the serious default. It confuses reports, bearers, paths, changes, and authority. Adopt: PSD.2:4.2 and the non-speaking-bearer case keep those claims separate.Current A.1.CSD is the direct FPF source for affected-System consequence discovery. Each obtaining claim remains with its direct relation pattern; A.6.REL adds occurrence identity only when later use must distinguish occurrences of the same relation kind. These contributions do not recruit participants, establish representation, facilitate inquiry, or rank concerns. Domain safety, legal, ethical, and scientific practices retain their own Methods and thresholds.Reopen if the direct patterns acquire the full participation-and-concern move at equal or lower effort, or if evidence changes a relied-upon bearer, path, or consequence.
