Plural formulationsAlternatives should address material interpretations without pretending that every interpretation seeks the same result.
Imagination and qualificationA proposal may be worth investigating before feasibility is known, while unsupported proposals cannot be presented as ready commitments.
Combination and interactionHybrid or staged directions can preserve options, while shared resources, incompatibilities, and delay can remove their apparent advantage.
Generation and choiceEarly preference helps identify concerns but can suppress candidates before their consequences are known.
