RHY.13:4.1 - State the needed continuation and the claimed contribution

Name what the performer or equipped whole already does, under which conditions, and what must become available next. Select one current question:

  • Transfer: can an earlier rhythmic contribution be used in a meaningfully changed passage or condition?
  • Retention: can the relevant contribution still be performed after an interval under the stated reference conditions?
  • Support dependence: what remains available when a particular source of reference, information or assistance changes?
  • Combined use: can the whole perform in the actual later arrangement, even when the causes of success or failure cannot be separated?

Use the smallest question that changes the decision. A rehearsal can proceed with a useful qualified result without a general learning-effect claim.

Keep the contributor visible. A teacher may supply beat and entry, the learner articulation, a score duration, and a device the sound. If later use retains them all, test that arrangement. If the learner must supply the entry without the teacher, state that changed contribution explicitly.
