A teacher’s preferred notation or exercise can decide the diagnosis before the comparison begins. Ask whether a different diagnosis would lead to a different intervention. Also separate the observer’s demand from the performer’s: visible precision can coexist with unclear felt timing, while deliberately displaced timing can serve the performance.
