RHY.4:5.3 - A command timestamp hides delivery delay
A constructed interactive instrument logs a command at the desired beat, while its acoustic output begins later. Microphone and controller timestamps are first brought onto a usable common reference. If the delayed physical output is the relevant problem, the developer can adjust scheduling or the output path and replay the task.
If the physical delay is removed but a soft sound still seems late, the perceptual question remains. An engineering latency correction and a perceptual alignment answer different parts of the relation.
