RHY.5:5.3 - A timing grid beside a sound

A constructed recording contains two phrases whose attacks occupy the same grid positions, but one phrase’s soft accents seem later to the listener. The grid still serves phrase counting. For the timing question, retain the sound and the listening or measurement task used to locate the accents. RHY.4 addresses the physical and perceived positions.

Replacing the sound by more subdivision labels would not supply the omitted envelope or the listener’s response.
