RHY.5:5.5 - Endpoints omit a needed position during movement

In a constructed two-unit movement interval, trace A goes from position 0 to +1 at time 1 and returns to 0 at time 2. Trace B goes from 0 to −1 at time 1 and likewise returns to 0 at time 2. Position is measured along an agreed axis; time uses the shared rhythmic reference.

A record containing only the endpoints at times 0 and 2 is identical for both traces. The receiving task asks which side of the origin the movement occupies at time 1. Retain the time-1 sample, or a recording that resolves that position under the same reference. The answers are the positive side for A and the negative side for B. The endpoint record alone must leave the answer open.

This selection resolves the stated intermediate-position question. A different question about direction or position between samples can need more information; RHY.6:5.5 works that reconstruction. Reading the trace does not supply a bodily technique for reproducing it.
