ForceTension
Exact correctionA concise conclusion is useful, while a small change of subject, context or time can alter what was established.
Coherent modelsA failed premise can affect several outputs, while unaffected claims should remain usable.
Receiving useEvidence can change a practical choice, while the choice also depends on values, constraints and authority outside the research result.
RecoverabilityExisting reliance may need the earlier statement and its correction, while every draft edit does not need a full change dossier.
DisclosureA recipient needs enough basis to judge reliance, while source rights, confidentiality and community authority constrain access.
Presentation and contentDifferent publication forms can serve different readers, while a concise or familiar template can conceal a missing problem, rationale, operation or applicability condition.
Further inquiryA valuable unanswered question may justify work, while useful completion and unobtainable acquisition remain possible.
