RMP.8:5.3 - Return a situated finding without inventing prevalence

A community synthesis links distrust in monitoring to withheld feedback in its examined settings. An earlier briefing says that this is the principal reason most local residents do not participate.

The supplied interpretive finding supports neither a population denominator nor the comparative frequency implied by “most” and “principal.” RMP.8 replaces the briefing’s prevalence assertion with the situated contribution: withheld feedback contributed to distrust in the examined accounts, with the noted exceptions and contexts. The account distinguishes the source interpretations from the synthesist’s broader explanation.

The community group can use that qualified insight when considering how to return monitoring information. The evidence does not establish how many residents would participate after a proposed change or authorize that change. A frequency survey is a separate research option if its attainable contribution warrants its burden.
