SOM.3:4.4 - Restore the conditions of use
Use feedback that the work permits. If later performance must occur without watching the instrument or receiving the teacher’s cue, test that condition separately within the practice’s limits. If continued feedback is permitted, retaining it can be a useful arrangement.
Restore movement and the other contributions that must continue. Use SOM.4 when serial correction prevents their joint performance, and SOM.5 when a changed support or load makes the previously available regulation fail. Stop an attempt that produces pain, dizziness or unfamiliar loss of control; a failed increment is not a diagnosis.
