SOM.3:4.3 - Compare experience and effect
Observe the result the receiving task needs: security of a held tool, continuity of contact, position or another relevant effect. Where suitable, an instrument may make that external effect easier to observe. Keep its resolution and what it measures explicit.
Keep a sensation report distinct from a force measurement. Compare the two accounts to decide whether the intended regulation occurred. A constant-looking instrument reading also cannot tell you which bodily change produced it.
