SOM.4:4.1 - Select the needed combination

Use SOM.1 to name what must happen together in the selected interval. Keep the encompassing result visible: pen guidance with contact; balance with stepping and partner relation; or another practice’s actual requirement.

First try a suitable cue about the movement’s effect when one is available from the practice. If it produces the required action, retain it. When the cue does not supply the needed coordination, inspect each uncertain constituent under the conditions in which it must join the others. Use SOM.2 or SOM.3 for a distinction or regulation that is missing there. Separate success in different conditions does not establish that all parts are ready for combination.
