SOM.4:4.2 - Assemble from a workable portion
Start with a combination the performer can carry out. Add the next needed change and observe what happens to the preceding ones. Reduce irrelevant task burden while keeping the relation being learned. A short stroke may remove unrelated drawing; it must retain changing support if that is the source of difficulty.
Distribute detailed observation across comparable attempts when checking every part within one action interrupts it. Attend to one bodily relation during one attempt and inspect the concurrent contribution or external result in another. Preserve differences between attempts. An observer’s assistance remains part of the conditions.
If the added change makes the combination unavailable, locate what failed before adding more. Prepare that relation, alter suitable support, or obtain a demonstration that exposes the missing change. An instruction to recall an unavailable whole cannot replace this construction.
