SOM.Preface:7 - Companion publications and dependencies

The following contributions remain in their supplying frameworks. The links return to their public texts; a reader can search the stated PatternIDs within each publication.

CompanionContribution used hereWhen it matters
FPF Core — A.6.P.RI, B.5.EA, B.1.5.EWKeeping an account tied to its observer, expressing an experience, and recovering simultaneous Method participationComparing inside and outside accounts and preserving the encompassing activity
Human Capability Development — HCD.6, HCD.6.1, HCD.9, HCD.10, HCD.11, HCD.12Constructing representative practice, making distinctions learnable, providing feedback, varying and progressing practice, and interpreting performance evidenceLearning design and assessment; HCD.12 is used when the question concerns transfer to unfamiliar work
Embodied Rhythmics; RHY.12 for learningThe rhythmic relations used by the receiving activity, with representative rhythmic practice when neededWhen timing is rhythmic, as in the salsa example; ordinary bodily regulation need not require this framework

SOM also needs the receiving practice’s technique, criteria and physical limits. A dance, musical or tool-use method supplies those domain contributions; SOM’s writing and dance examples are not complete instruction in either discipline.

If a companion changes a relied-on operation, revisit the combinations that use it. A selected external teacher or lesson must likewise be suitable for the actual movement task; a link to a school alone does not supply that result.
