CB.16:4.6 - Return the answer and make the next action usable

Report the contribution and response to the represented participants. Explain what the recipient accepted, rejected, changed or left open; the reason and evidence supplied; any commitment made within the mandate; and any new question requiring the group’s decision.

Give dissenting or previously absent participants a usable opportunity to correct a misrepresentation. Correct a materially inaccurate account with the recipient as well as within the community. CB.13 supplies reconsideration or replacement when the representative exceeded the mandate.

Return implementation work to its actual owners. Use OCE.14 for a bounded revision of an existing arrangement and OCE.6 for needed assignments and enabling conditions. CB.14 supplies a new practice contribution; HCD supplies a needed learning result. If the community has only obtained an invitation to further work, preserve that bounded gain and the unfinished result.

Agree an observation that can tell whether the expected practical change occurred. For example, check whether writers were actually included before the specified decision and whether their contribution was usable. CB.10 can connect those observations with the community’s value question. A causal claim about the whole intervention still requires suitable evidence.

Close the representation episode when the answer, effective commitments and remaining work are understood by their recipients. A refusal or a bounded agreement may complete this episode even though the community’s wider aim remains open.
