Participants obtain a real opportunity to contribute and receive something useful. The organiser learns which matching, preparation and follow-up work matters, and can adapt it before creating a larger recurring commitment.
The approach requires hands-on attention and can establish that the proposed activity is not currently viable. A small successful exchange leaves larger-scale capacity, durability, learning and causal benefit as separate questions.
