CB.6:8 - Common Anti-Patterns and How to Avoid Them
| Wrong turn | Practical repair |
| Praise activity without finding its useful contribution | Obtain the relevant receiving account and name what it supports. |
| Credit only the person who presented joint work | Recover preparation and other contributions and agree the attribution. |
| Make every acknowledgement public | Choose the audience with the person’s circumstances and preferences in view. |
| Promise an introduction or learning place without its provider | Obtain a bounded commitment and feasible access first. |
| Treat popularity or message volume as contribution quality | Inspect the contribution and its use; revise the misleading incentive. |
| Turn recognition into a new unpaid obligation | Agree new work separately and respect a refusal. |
| Replace owed payment or missing support with appreciation | Fulfil the actual obligation or obtain the missing provision. |
