CB.8:5.2 - Receive an offline complaint after the event
At a volunteer workshop, the host repeatedly interrupts one participant’s account of a scheduling problem. The participant leaves and later reports through the alternate contact printed on the invitation. They do not have to attend another meeting chaired by the same host to be heard.
The alternate obtains accounts from the participant, host and a willing witness. The scheduling concern is real and returns to the organiser responsible for access. The interruption also prevented the participant from making that concern intelligible. Under the group’s existing decision arrangement, the alternate obtains an authorised organiser’s assignment of another facilitator for the next discussion. The host receives concrete feedback on receiving concerns.
The participant can use the new route without a private reconciliation with the host. The contact explains what will change and checks whether that route is usable. If the authorised organiser cannot obtain a replacement, the contact explains the remaining gap and obtains a different workable arrangement before promising the change.
