CB.8:9 - Consequences

Rules become instructions people can use, and an incident can end with a specific correction or supported restriction. A mistaken decision can be repaired without abandoning a useful expectation. Useful disagreement can continue while harmful conduct receives an effective response.

Handling and review require time, judgement and protection of sensitive information. A community that cannot supply them must narrow its promise or obtain the missing service. More elaborate procedure is worthwhile only where it improves the relevant decision and participation.
