APP-DOCA-01 — Mira’s development direction, programme comparison, and Guide
The working difficulty and the first bounded return
Mira is an engineer-manager who prepares release-review handovers. She has four months to improve that work. “Learn more patterns” is her initial idea. Her receiving need is more specific: distinguish an already adequate specialist result from a missing result, select a worthwhile further contribution, and avoid carrying a result into a changed configuration without qualification.
For this case, a qualified HCD practitioner has recovered representative later-Work demand and evidence of Mira’s present performance under the available checklist and technical reference, using the target practice’s qualified correctness criteria. Mira’s responses adequately qualified three of five receiving uses; in the two changed-configuration cases they relied on unsupported transfer. The result concerns those tasks and supports. It does not establish unaided performance, a general mastery score, or transfer to every engineering setting.
DOCA.1 bounds Mira, that later Work and the four-month horizon. She needs a first direction question by Friday. Two short discussion sessions are available, but the support owner cannot provide a qualified capacity answer this week. The existing HCD result already supports construction of conditional personal-practice and review-support directions. Mira therefore uses that result now and carries the capacity gap; another meeting would not qualify it. Reopen acquisition when an obtainable answer could change the directions or their use.
Development activity must fit within the existing thirty-eight-hour working week; at most three hours a week can be reassigned, with the displaced activity named. Protected conditions include no disclosure of restricted release data and no unsupported technical acceptance. Mira is the recipient and direction chooser; an employer’s staffing decision remains a different use.
DOCA.1.CHR replaces “become more mature” with the needed readings:
| Coordinate and scale | Current reading in this case | Intended or protected condition |
|---|---|---|
| Adequately qualified handovers, count out of the same five representative tasks; higher is better | 3/5 with the stated checklist and reference | 5/5 under the intended receiving conditions; a target, not an obtained result. |
| Unsupported technical acceptances, count in that task set; lower is better | 2/5 | Protected: zero in the claimed qualified task set. |
| Total work burden, hours per week; lower within the required output is preferable | 38 | Do not exceed 38; development displaces at most three hours of named existing work. |
| Mentor/specialist capacity, hours per week; lower consumption preserves capacity | Extra usable capacity is unknown. | Confirm the capacity before a direction or programme relies on it. |
| Additional work shifted to release colleagues, hours per week; lower is preferable | None from this proposed change, which has not begun. | Qualify who absorbs or stops the displaced work and the resulting burden; spare capacity is not assumed. |
| Information disclosure, permitted/not permitted for each recipient and purpose; prohibited use is inadmissible | The technical reference and anonymized examples are permitted | No raw restricted release data in the learning or advice service. |
| Transfer to unfamiliar configurations, qualified/unqualified/unknown for a stated task family | Unknown | Obtain HCD and target-domain evidence before claiming that transfer. |
Counts, time, permission and qualification readings answer different questions. Do not sum them into one maturity score or code an unknown reading as poor performance.
A complete pattern contribution, not “learn A.15.9”
Using DOCA.2–DOCA.4, Mira constructs two materially different directions. One is intended to develop her recognition and execution of bounded specialist-result use. The other would change the release-review support arrangement so that a qualified technical reviewer supplies more of that contribution. The second may improve the receiving result without demonstrating new personal capability. Both are more precise than competing course brands.
The first direction cites A.15.9 — Use or Request a Bounded Result from Another Practice as a complete contribution. The recurring difficulty is a missing qualified outside contribution. The move is to inspect an existing result, use it at its supported strength, and retain a material limit. A further request is selected only when its obtainable contribution warrants the whole acquisition burden; the return is qualified for the receiving subject, configuration, use and window. The useful result is a qualified contribution or an explicit limitation. A useful narrower answer can also complete the use; a request itself is not the supplied result.
Mira’s intended learner action is therefore observable: given a release question and two specialist reports, decide which report can be used and at what strength, retain a genuine use limit, and obtain a further contribution only when it warrants the work. When acquisition is selected, she drafts its bounded request; she withholds the claim that still lacks a suitable result. The PatternID is an address for that guidance, not a development step by itself. Reading the text does not establish that Mira can perform the described move.
Finite directions and a conditional later step
Call Mira’s actual checklist-and-reference arrangement S0. Direction A adds supported practice of that contribution and later task checks; direction B changes the review-service arrangement. They are compared against the same S0, task family, horizon and protections. DOCA.5 asks HCD for the person-specific challenge, support, practice and transfer basis, and the service owner for real review capacity. Separately plausible components do not establish joint availability.
| Finite candidate | Receiving result and complete burden question | Transition, reversibility, and options | Present conclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
A: S0 plus supported practice, producing prospective S1 | HCD must qualify expected task closure and transfer; count preparation, attempts, feedback, retries, checks, mentor work, displacement and total weekly burden. Preserve the critical-error and disclosure constraints. | Setup and later checking remain prospective costs. Identify the cost of stopping the segment and restoring displaced work before claiming reversibility. Later unfamiliar-case practice is an option only if its prerequisite is qualified. | Conditional direction, not a qualified improvement or programme. |
B: S0 plus a proposed review-service contribution | The service practice must qualify output, response time, capacity, continuing cost, Mira’s coordination burden and effects on other supported teams. The same protected errors and disclosure limits apply. | Establish actual provider availability and withdrawal consequences; retained external support is not unaided personal performance. | Conditional support-direction alternative; do not relabel it personal development. |
| Later unfamiliar-case practice after A | For a planned step, use the stated prospective S1 and keep its result conditional. For an actual transition, use the S1 actually obtained and reconsider any difference. Qualify the new task, support, time and transfer evidence from that starting configuration. | Keep the first step’s incurred costs in history if it occurred. Compare the next increment separately; do not credit the first gain twice or charge hypothetical setup as spent. | Candidate enabling relation; HCD evidence must support the prerequisite and transfer claim. |
C.11.CRC governs any stronger finite comparison. The result, resource, affected-person/team, distributional and protected coordinates above must be complete on one qualified basis, including interactions and evidence limits. No Pareto or aggregate-savings claim follows from these descriptions. DOCA.6 may retain A, B and the conditional later step with their missing-result and reconsideration conditions.
Advice and the two distinct choices
Suppose Mira asks a distinct career-development adviser for help. Using DOCA.7, the adviser bounds the service on independently established competence, Mira’s participation, confidential individual feedback, an employer-facing summary limited to agreed work implications, and appropriate treatment of provider interests. These are supplied conditions of this constructed scene, not consequences of the sponsor’s payment. A private assessment does not become an employer record.
PSD receives the formed direction question and qualified available inputs. While mentor capacity and transfer remain unresolved, its useful return can retain conditional directions with those limits. A request or recommended probe follows only when its obtainable contribution warrants the whole burden; the missing premises do not establish a winner. In a later scene, assume the required capacity and comparison results have arrived and the authorized choice inputs are adequate. Mira explicitly chooses the personal-development direction A under its stated resource and evidence limits. That choice is a new case fact; neither the opportunity table nor the advice made it for her.
HCD.2 — Compose and Compare Human Capability-Development Programmes for Later Work now receives the selected development stake, compatible profile, later tasks, participation and qualified support. In this constructed continuation, the HCD practitioner supplies a programme-comparison account for two feasible candidates under those conditions:
| Programme candidate | Qualified resource and support position | Expected contribution and limit |
|---|---|---|
| Coached whole-task sequence | Three learner hours and one mentor hour per week, including preparation, attempts, feedback, correction, retries and checks. The provider confirms that one hour is available. | More of the early attempt receives immediate guidance. Later independent and unfamiliar performance remains to be tested. |
| Reference-supported individual sequence with scheduled expert checks | Three learner hours and half an expert hour per week, including the same categories of learner and provider work. The stated references and checking access are available. | More of the attempt occurs before expert feedback. Error correction and changed-condition checking remain necessary; lower expert time is not an effectiveness finding. |
Both fit within the remainder of the original four-month horizon, with inquiry and choice time already allowed for, and preserve Mira’s thirty-eight-hour working-week limit. The supplied account identifies an authorized three-hour reallocation from reporting work that can be suspended without moving it to colleagues or losing a required release output. It includes setup, access, assessment, stopping and restoration costs within the reported allocations; performance expectations and transfer uncertainty remain explicit. These are assumed qualified HCD and organizational inputs, not results calculated by DOCA from the table. No unqualified practice attempt authorizes live release acceptance. Unequal description detail, missing displacement or an unconfirmed provider hour would reopen the comparison.
If programme advice is wanted, PSD uses that HCD.2 account to prepare a separate recommendation. In this continuation Mira makes the authorized programme choice of the reference-supported sequence with scheduled expert checks, using the complete comparison and choice inputs. If advice is not wanted and those inputs already exist, the comparison can go directly to the actual chooser. The earlier direction choice did not select this programme.
Guide realization, performed attempts, and evidence
Only after the programme choice does Learning Product practice realize its instructional part as a Guide. LG.02 places the first distinction, worked use and later varied return at stable addresses. LG.05 develops the focal contribution into recognition, explanation, move, result/check, worked case, contrast and practice. LG.03 tests the learner’s next action rather than the fragment’s apparent polish.
A unit can show a completed bounded request and why one existing report is reusable. Its practice case changes the receiving configuration; Mira must decide whether to reuse, narrow or request, produce the stated result, and check the same conditions. The unfamiliar case must require a fresh applicability decision, not recall of the identifier. These are instructional design contributions; the Guide is not the programme, performed practice, or proof that learning occurred.
In a later constructed observation, Mira completes the scheduled attempts and the assessor qualifies all five familiar tasks with the allowed reference, but one unfamiliar configuration still leads to an unsupported transfer. The observation supports the familiar-task result only under its measured conditions. HCD retains diagnosis, transfer and later evidence. DOCA.8 reopens the stronger unfamiliar-work claim and any dependent path; PSD.14 receives affected advice. Completing those activities and succeeding on the familiar tasks do not prove general transfer or reduced cognitive load.
The result-use sequence in this branch is:
HCD evidence → DOCA opportunity/path candidates → PSD direction advice when requested → authorized direction choice → HCD.2 programme comparison → PSD programme advice when requested → authorized programme choice → Learning Product Guide → performed attempts → HCD and representative-Work evidence → affected reconsideration.
These are distinct results, not mandatory stages. The inquiry may stop much earlier.
A direct programme-level entry
A learning-product author may already have a Foundations-like HCD.2-grounded comparison of programme variants. PSD can begin with that comparison and the author’s actual recommendation question. No earlier personal DOCA path or direction choice is invented. Audience assumptions support a bounded learning-product design return, not individual fit; a named learner still needs compatible later Work, entry evidence, support and participation for personal comparison. The author’s authorized programme choice precedes Guide production, and observed learner evidence remains necessary for effectiveness.
