EXD.2:2 - Problem

An attractive example can make a statement memorable while hiding why it applies. A recipient may copy the numbers or surface features, infer a rule from one convenient success, or carry an analogy beyond its justified correspondence.

The example must therefore do two jobs together: make the needed connection recoverable and discriminate its valid use from a consequential alternative. A correct final answer alone does not establish either.
