GOALS.1:4.3 - Connect the goal to a possible next action
Reason backward from the desired condition to the contribution needed next, and forward from available means to what they can produce. If a suitable method, capable provider and needed conditions are already available, use them. If the way is missing, construct or obtain it through the subject practice and C.39. If a consequential uncertainty remains, use a warranted inquiry; STR.7 supplies the comparison between further evidence and sufficient present action.
The immediate result may be a task, a request for a missing contribution, a bounded inquiry, a learning opportunity or a decision to keep an adequate condition under observation. A goal can be meaningful before a complete plan is known. Keep the next reliance proportionate to what is available: preserve a worthwhile aspiration while withholding the unsupported delivery promise.
