GOALS.3:4.2 - Recover the actual dependencies
Work backward from each goal’s result to the necessary contributions, then check with their providers how and when they can be supplied. Distinguish a prerequisite, concurrent contribution, shared resource, enabling service and a simply related theme. A top-level goal is translated through the contribution a team can actually make. Uniform numerical cascading often loses this difference.
For a cross-team result, decide what needs common ownership and what needs an interface agreement. A shared objective helps when the parties jointly own one result and its trade-offs. Linked local goals can be adequate when one supplies a clear result to another. In either case, identify the result, provider, recipient, timing, acceptance conditions and exception return where the connection is consequential. A copy of the same KR in two lists supplies none of those agreements.
Combine demands on scarce means at the times they must be available. Include interpretation, coordination, preparation, verification, learning, maintenance and recovery when material. Count one performance once when it really serves several goals; retain the different result claims. Cheap AI computation can change the limiting resource to data access, a professional decision or people’s response time. Recompute that constraint rather than assuming every former workload remains human work.
