The practitioner returns a usable improvement proposal without pretending that the evidence settled every cause. Local revisions preserve successful learning and make the cost and next observation inspectable.
This approach can require saying that the missing input belongs to the assessor, source owner or provider rather than to the learner. It also accepts provisional results: a useful change may be retained locally while its broader transfer or retention remains untested.
