HCD.24:4.2 - Make the criterion usable
Explain what the criterion asks of this work and show a small contrast when a label is insufficient. HCD.6.1 supplies that contrast. Ask learners to locate the decisive feature and make a judgement before showing the qualified rationale when independent application is the current question.
Compare their grounds with the qualified account. A difference can expose a learner misconception, ambiguous task information, a defective criterion or a legitimate alternative. Resolve which it is. Calibration is useful when those differences can change later review; it need not become a long prerequisite exercise for an already competent reviewer.
Give feedback on the reasoning, not only on agreement with a reference score. If both reviewers select the same answer for incompatible reasons, inspect that difference. If the reference answer itself is disputed, repair it or qualify the unresolved criterion before using it to judge learners.
