HCD.25:4.2 - Obtain a permitted case that preserves the relation

Ask the project owner for the bounded question, relevant inputs and conditions, action taken or proposed, and the result or unresolved consequence. Separate an observed case from a constructed teaching case. Include the smallest context needed to inspect why the action follows; omit unrelated project history.

Check that participants may receive the material. Use an approved excerpt or a constructed analogue when it preserves the target relation. For example, changing a client’s name can preserve a workload dependency; removing the workload itself cannot. A fabricated case is legitimate teaching material when identified as such, but it is not evidence about the real project.

Prepare the receiving form around the comparison: place the decision-bearing fragments where learners can inspect both. A shared heading helps only if its contents mean comparable things. If one case’s result is a model prediction and the other’s is an observation, retain that distinction and explain how each serves its use. HCD.7 supplies actual access and help; HCD.24 develops comparative evaluative judgement when that is the target.
