HCD.26:4.1 - Make the intended work recoverable

State the common question, the needed contributions and the next usable result in a form participants can recover during the attempt. For a short exchange, a sentence and an accessible case can suffice. For a longer task, retain the unresolved decision and who is preparing each necessary contribution. Do not require a display of every private thought or emotion to coordinate a bounded learning action.

Agree how participants can request a pause, report missing information or challenge the current course. Clarify what a facilitator or tool can observe and provide. A learner who expects a bot to answer subject questions may disregard a process cue because its purpose was never understood. HCD.7 establishes the actual support and access conditions.

Choose observation occasions from consequential dependencies: before adopting a model, when a needed contribution should have arrived, or when work visibly stalls. A short scheduled check can help inexperienced groups. It can be removed when participants already recognize the relevant occasions.
