HCD.28:0.1 - Working Terms

TermMeaning in this pattern
learning productA bounded offer through which an audience can undertake specified learning work under stated entry and support conditions. A guide, course or supported practice arrangement can carry parts of the offer.
programmeThe proposed arrangement of preparation, practice, feedback, correction and observations over time. It is distinct from the material describing it and from its actual performance.
subject methodThe way of performing the target-domain work, including the choices and conditions needed for that work. It can require skilled demonstration or situated judgement as well as a written account.
pedagogical companionMaterial and activities that help a reader acquire prerequisites, understand and practise an available subject method. It does not silently supply a missing rule of the subject method as if that rule had already been established.
whole learning routeA connected use from an attainable entry through learning activity and correction to the intended observable contribution. “Whole” is relative to the declared outcome, not to an entire profession.
preparation branchAn alternative entry or preparation activity selected by a relevant difference in starting capability, access or support. It has a return to the whole task.
supply arrangementThe actual people, tools, permissions, time windows, checking and recovery that make the offer usable. A timetable or role name does not establish availability.
